Alois Höller was halfway paralyzed after a stroke in 1994. After alot of Training he realized he could walk a few steps. He trained until he could reach the Spindler wayside cross by foot. He had the shrine renovated put a new Picture of the virgin Mary in it and put a new Roof on it. The renovated shrine was put at its old place. But because of roadwork it had to be moved later on. It was blessed by the church of Salzburg. The shrine on the tree is looked after by Family Höllerer. They look up to it for safety.
