It is a sign of gratitude to the Dietmann family. The weather cross is mainly for protection against bad weather and thanks for good harvest. In addition, all personal requests and prayers are included here. When Mr. Dietmann was able to return home from Russian captivity in the 1950s, he had the cross painted anew in gratitude. In 1986 it was gratitude for the completion of the stable construction and for the good continuation of the yard, which caused the Dietmanns to renew the cross again. In 1996, the farmer's brother, General Dean Prelate Simon Dietmann, died in a traffic accident. It was a concern of the family to keep a memorial to their relative, who had loved to visit his home, and offered the peasants valuable spiritual support. Therefore, in 1997 the wayside cross was erected in front of the cross. An unknown custom for Upper Austria was taken from the Salzburg region. The death pad of the grandmother of the farmer with the year 1996 is attached to the weather cross. Mortuary boards date from the time when the deceased were laid out in the house. In the middle of the three boards, on which the coffin was laid out, the insignia and years were engraved after the funeral. The death-board was attached to a tree on Kirchenweg. Mrs. Dietmann's Totenbrett is attached to the weather cross. From today's time comes a geo-caching point at the cross, which leads many seekers to the remarkable point. Mr. Paar (Maiberger - Salzburg neighbor of the Dietmanns) knew the tradition that the men of Wartenfels in the 15./16. Century executed the condemned here. Visible from afar was the gallows in Maiberg meadow today.
