After completing her medical studies in Vienna, she trained as a general practitioner at Schärding Hospital and Salzburg Regional Hospital. She then worked for several years as an outpatient doctor at the University Clinic for Surgery at Salzburg Regional Hospital. She then moved to Salzburg Accident Hospital for almost five years, where Dr Balzsay also acquired accident surgery expertise.Since 2019, Dr Balzsay has worked as a ward physician at the Wehrle-Diakonissen Private Clinic. In addition to numerous deputations with general practitioners in Salzburg and Upper Austria, she has been enthusiastic about working as a general practitioner since 2020 through her work as an employed doctor in the surgery of Dr Gunther Schlederer (Lofer). Alexandra Balzsay runs her surgery at Schlosshof 1b in the centre of Mondsee, sharing a practice with Dr Gotho Geishofer during corresponding surgery hours. The two surgeries are run as separate businesses; joint care is not planned. In urgent cases, patients will of course be treated in both surgeries during the corresponding surgery hours.
