Stress reduction through mindfulness

The eight-week course is the classic course designed for "stress management by mindfulness", developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University Clinic of Worcester / Massachusetts and whose effectiveness has been sufficiently investigated.

It consists of 8-weekly meetings of 2.5 - 3 hours each and an intense day of mindfulness which is largely spent in silence.

In the context of our introductory speech or a personal interview, we inform you about the exact sequence. In this way, you can decide in a calm way whether or not the participation in this course is appropriate for them.

In addition, we regularly offer a basic mind-training course and give them an opportunity to get to know the practice elements of MBSR one afternoon.

During the course, the formal exercises will be taught and practiced together.
The classic body scan while lying down and sitting
Simple and careful yoga exercises
The seat meditations
ZEN walking instruction
For each of these exercises, you will receive working papers and a CD with which you can practice at home.
Each spa unit has an additional focus. This is done through reflections, short lectures and exercises in the group and brought into connection with the experiences of our daily life.

For example, the questions ... how do I perceive or how and why stress arises. They practice careful communication, self-responsibility and self-acceptance.

All lectures are practice-oriented and through the independent, informal practice practice, they leave the mindfulness into their daily lives.

MBSR basically does not require anything. It is an effective method for stress management and strengthening of health and quality of life. However, you should bring some openness and curiosity, as well as the willingness to spend 45 minutes each day during these 8 weeks to do the exercises at home. After the MBSR course the time of the practice is not over, however, they have tools at hand which allow them to balance themselves largely.
