Mondsee chocolate moon cookie recipe
The Schokomonde are a chocolatey temptation that nobody can resist!
Ingredients:
15 dag sugar
15 dag butter
4 egg yolks
4 clear egg whites (whisk)
10 dag soft chocolate
15 dag flour
1 pinch of baking powder
Beat the sugar, butter and yolks until frothy, then carefully fold in the soft chocolate. Finally, carefully fold in the beaten egg whites, sifted flour and baking powder, spread on a baking tray and bake at 170°C in the oven. While still warm, cut into small slices or cut out moons. Brush with icing. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar with rum.
Cookie recipe Mondsee honey biscuits
These honey cookies are a very old Mondsee recipe that has been passed down from mother to daughter and certainly cannot be found anywhere else.
Ingredients
40 dag flour
20 dag powdered sugar
20 dag honey (solid)
2 pinches of baking soda
2 eggs
2-3 teaspoons cinnamon
Knead all the ingredients into a firm dough. If the dough is too runny, add a little more flour. Roll out thinly, cut out any desired motifs and bake at 180°C until light.
If the cookies remain hard in the tin, they will soften in the air.
If necessary, add half an apple to the tin to soften the cookies.
