... at 6:00 pm starts the torchlight procession with music accompaniment from the Advent market. In the bay, the torch swimmers prepare themselves for the beautiful spectacle - while the visitors still have the opportunity to strengthen themselves with a snack or warm up with tea and mulled wine.

While later the torch floats swim through the icy moon lake to the bay, illuminated Christmas trees are lifted from the lake by divers. When Neptune hears the calls of the enthusiastic children, he descends from the Mondsee and distributes presents to the little guests. The event is for adults - with or without children - a nice setting for the Christmas festival.

The custom has been organized by the Österreichische Wasserrettung Mondsee with the support of the surrounding ÖWR-Ortsstellen for over 5 decades
