This Museum was founded in 1964 by sculptor and painter Hans Mairhofer-Irrsee.
It is set in a delightful sculpture garden, dubbed the artist´s garden gallery. The Museum provides visitors with insights into the natural and cultural history of the area. On display are ancient rural farming tools and authentic crafts machinery and tools that once were used in the Mondseeland area. The purpose of the exhibition is not only to inform, but also to trigger the visitors imagination, stir the emotion and create a real sense of atmosphere.
