Advent Concert by the Mondsee Choral Association - Baroque Christmas

"Who is knocking at my door?"
Once again this year, the Sängerbund Mondsee will be holding its annual Advent concert to get us in the mood for the contemplative Advent season.

Immerse yourself in the glamorous world of the Baroque and enjoy an atmospheric evening of Christmas music from this era. Under the title “Baroque Christmas,” the Mondsee Choral Society invites you on a musical journey that brings the emotions and the art of sound from this bygone era to life.

The program brings together masterpieces by the great Baroque composers: Johann Sebastian Bach’s chorales, the dramatic splendor of George Frideric Handel, and the virtuosic expressiveness of Dieterich Buxtehude blend into a harmonious whole that evocatively captures the Christmas spirit of the Baroque era.

In addition to the Mondsee Choral Society, the program features a string quartet (conducted by
Zsuzsanna Kiss) and Prof. Gottfried Holzer-Graf on the organ. Under the musical direction of Roman Stalla, you’ll experience an atmosphere of contemplation and festive joy that will put you in the right mood for the upcoming Advent season.

Tickets (advance sales: 16 €, at the door: 20 €, youth up to age 14: 8
