Spring magic at Mondsee Castle - a festival for the whole family

Spring comes to life in the historic ambience of Mondsee Castle: From 20 to 22 March and from 27 to 29 March 2026, the Spring and Easter Market invites visitors to a colorful experience full of tradition, craftsmanship and culinary delights.

At the market, guests can expect a large art, Easter and craft market, a wide range of culinary delights and a historical supporting program: this includes a carriage exhibition and historical program points on the castle history of the former Benedictine monastery.

For children, there is a lovingly designed program with face painting, pottery, bracelet making and a children's shooting range of the crossbowmen of the Herzogstadt Burghausen association (shooting range is only available on the first weekend). Special highlights are the show fights of the swordsmen on selected dates as well as the palm bush tying and the performances of D'Stoawandla on selected dates on the second weekend.

The varied supporting program ensures that visitors of all ages get their money's worth. Whatever the weather, the stalls and attractions in the palace garden, in the Hall of Columns and in the historic palace corridors and state rooms invite you to stroll, marvel and enjoy.

The spring market at Mondsee Castle combines tradition and modernity in a unique way - an excursion full of enjoyment, creativity and springtime fun for the whole family!
