Spring & Easter Market at Mondsee Castle

When spring arrives in the Salzkammergut, the historic Mondsee Castle is transformed into an atmospheric spring and Easter market over two weekends. From March 12–14 and March 19–21, 2027, visitors can look forward to a diverse program for the whole family.

Over 60 exhibitors will showcase lovingly crafted arts and crafts, jewelry, ceramics, woodwork, Easter and spring decorations, as well as numerous gift ideas and one-of-a-kind items. The market is complemented by a varied supporting program featuring music, traditional customs, historical events, and a medieval spectacle.

Younger guests will also have a great time: creative workshops, pottery, bracelet-making, and a children’s crossbow shooting range provide entertainment and invite kids to join in the fun. Traditional demonstrations such as Schuhplatteln and the presentation of palm fronds offer insights into regional customs.

Refreshments are provided by the Easter Café, wine tastings, and various culinary offerings from the castle’s restaurants. The market takes place regardless of the weather, as all market stalls and exhibitors are located inside the castle.
