Immerse yourself in the history of pile-dwelling cultures, the Mondsee monastery and the Mondsee writing school and experience the sculptures of baroque sculptor Meinrad Guggenbichler
Today, the relics of an outstanding cultural period can still be admired at the Pile Dwelling Museum. Additionally, the Locale Heritage Museum focuses on the history of the local Monastery, founded in 748, and its renowned Writing School.
