Rowing and boat rental
Do you know when the Mondsee or the Irrsee lakes are most beautiful? Right, early in the morning, shortly after sunrise. The water surface is plain and the first sunbeams are reflected like on a mirror. Cormorants and herons are waiting without a move to catch a good fish for breakfast. Slowly the whole region awakes for a new day.
We strongly recommend the following:
Tip 1: A rowing or electric boat tour along the nature protected area on the northwestern waterside. You pass along the "magic forest" and the "island of lovers". Also the water lily bay can only be seen from the water. You will be strongly connected with nature and enjoy this moment of happiness.
Tip 2: A rowing or electric boat tour at the southeastern end of the Mondsee lake. Here you get an insight into the impressing rock formations of the "Kienbergwand" which can not be seen from the landside. Maybe you spot a chamois - this animals are coming down to the lake to drink.
If you do not own a rowing boat or a electric boat feel free to rent one!
