Prepare yourself for a spectacle you won't soon forget. When the fools take over the streets and the air is filled with cheerful laughter, you know that carnival is in full swing. Here in Mondsee-Irrsee we celebrate with a mixture of tradition and pure fun.
Our legendary carnival ball is the perfect place to get the dance floor shaking. Whether in dazzling costumes or elegant evening gowns - everyone is welcome here who is in the mood for an unforgettable night. The music will carry you away and the atmosphere will enchant you.
The highlight of the festivities is the colourful carnival parade. Colourful floats and creative costumes parade through the town. Let yourself be infected by the good humour and enjoy the exuberant atmosphere.
Don't forget to grab one of the delicious carnival doughnuts - a must for every carnival fan! Before Lent begins, you can feast to your heart's content.

As in previous years, the carnival parade with clubs, regulars' tables, institutions and school classes from the Mondsee region will once again be an important part of the Mondsee carnival this year!
After the parade, we will bring the carnival hustle and bustle to a close with our traditional "open-air disco" on the market square.
We therefore invite you to come along to the parade on Shrove Tuesday in fancy dress and have lots of fun!
