Wedding planner

We have put together a wedding planner for you so that nothing is forgotten for the most beautiful day of your life.

Dear bridal couple,

Your wedding at Lake Mondsee in the Salzkammergut should be simply perfect. That's why we provide you with a small wedding planner so that you don't forget the little things.

6-12 months to go

  • Set your preferred date - pay attention to public holidays and holiday periods when planning. Your first point of contact is your registrar at the registry office
  • Decide on the location and setting for the civil ceremony (in Mondsee: former Fürstenzimmer or on the ship) and/or church wedding (churches in Mondsee and the surrounding area)
  • compile the preliminary guest list
  • Pre-book the location for the ceremony (popular locations are often fully booked a year in advance for popular dates)
  • draw up a rough cost overview and clarify the financing options (possibly with the parents...)
  • choose your witnesses and ask if they are willing to attend
  • prepare the approximate schedule for the wedding day

**********************************************************************************

6 months to go

  • register with the relevant parish office (Catholic / Protestant) - usually the bride's parish office
  • Order the banns at the registry office
  • prepare your documents and other requirements (e.g. marriage preparation course)
  • plan the daily schedule for your wedding in detail
  • Pre-book additional services such as a wedding usher (master of ceremonies), flower children, wedding carriage, vintage car, etc.
  • draw up the guest list and possibly inform the guests about accommodation options or pre-book them yourself
  • Clarify and book the date with your photographer
  • Book your honeymoon. Don't forget to check the validity of your passports and apply for any necessary visas. Clarify holidays with your employer.
  • Book the musicians for the church, registry office and reception
  • Start thinking about your wedding dress and wedding suit (to match the dress)
  • Write your wedding list or wish list

**********************************************************************************

4 months to go
