For 400 years the old building characterizes the township of Zell am Moos

Once built in the 17th century as a monastery tavern, the thick walls now house the Wirt z'Zell inn and the Langwallner butcher's shop.

You can look forward to Austrian inn classics, special meat and sausage specialities from our own butcher's shop, fish from Lake Mondsee and, of course, modern vegetarian dishes. You can also enjoy delicious pastries and heavenly desserts at Wirt z'Zell. Everything is handmade with a lot of love and produced with the products of our region.

Whether in the restaurant or monastery parlour under the original wooden ceiling or on the sunny terrace - you are sure to find a perfect, cosy place to enjoy tasty dishes and refreshing drinks.

The Langwallner family and their staff always endeavour to look after their guests, who appreciate not only cosiness but also varied cuisine and a wonderful ambience.

Opening hours

Wirt z'Zell:
Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 11:30 - 14:30 and
from 17:30 to 22:00 (reservation requested, last order at 13:30 or 19:30).
Wednesday + Thursday day off

From June to August our ‘Dorfgartl’ is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 15:00 - 22:00 in fine weather. In the shady and cosy beer garden we offer self-service cool drinks, ice cream and typical beer garden dishes (no reservation possible)
