At the restaurant: Head Chef Kentaro Fujita grew up in Fukuoka on the island of Kyushu in southern Japan, a region with a rich culinary tradition. “The landscape around Mondsee reminds me of home. I felt right at home here from the start.” He’s now bringing his experience from renowned gourmet restaurants in Japan to Mondsee.
The bistro’s motto: izakaya An izakaya is a place where you can relax, share, laugh, and let the day wind down slowly. Small plates are passed around the table, and vibrant flavors come together: sushi, sashimi, tempura, as well as hot and cold specialties—unpretentious and lively, vibrant and Japanese. Accompanied by sake, beer, and good conversation, a moment of pure lightheartedness emerges—a pleasure that isn’t staged, but shared.
