The museum, which is housed in the original boiler house, is intended to commemorate the former narrow-gauge railway that connected Salzburg with Bad Ischl until 1957 .

The ancient narrow gauge railway connected the capital of Salzburg and Bad Ischl until 1957. A traditional heating parlor hosts today´s Museum.

Exhibits on display comprise not only old photographs and maps but also locomotives, carriages and wagons rich in history. Enjoy traveling back in time!

01 May to 26 October: Tuesday to Sunday: 10:00 to 17:00
Group tours also possible outside opening hours by prior arrangement.

Coming from the motorway exit Mondsee, turn right, go to the entrance of South Lake Mondsee. You can park either at the first parking lot or take the first driveway to the right. There you will also have parking. The museum is located close to both parking lots, behind the Alps Mondsee.
