Unterberiger wayside shrine

In the year 1942 Mrs Aloisia Niederbrucker, grandmother of Mrs Maria Lang was on her way home from Mondsee.

Her daughter was rushed to Hospital with a raptured Appendix to the Mondsee Hospital. ​The Operation had been over already, but she was still in critical condition. On her way up to her house the mother saw a luminous figure and had to think of her daughter. The next day she was informed that her daughter had died.
She built the shrine on the place that she had seen the figure the night before.
