By providing or registering your guest details at your accommodation provider and paying the local tax, you will receive your mobility ticket to use public transport throughout the province of Salzburg and in the border regions around Mondsee, Irrsee and Wolfgangsee.

Salzkammergut Shuttle

Route: Oberhofen Train Station – Western Shore of Lake Irrsee – Mondsee Bus Terminal

The Salzkammergut Shuttle offers a new mobility service in the Mondsee region for both guests and locals. The route operates as a regular public transport connection from Oberhofen train station along the western shore of Lake Irrsee to the Mondsee bus terminal, providing an important public transport link in the area.

The shuttle operates as an on-demand taxi service and serves only designated stops. Reservations must be made at least one hour before departure, either by phone or online.

Operating Hours
(slightly different from the overall system due to limited vehicle and driver availability)

Monday to Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday: no service

For overnight guests, the service is free of charge with a valid Guest Mobility Card and is already included in the overnight stay tax.
The service is available for the current summer season and will operate until 31 October 2026.

Getting there by train
The region Mondsee-Irrsee has an own train station in Oberhofen am Irrsee. However, the best way to reach the area by public transport is by bus 140 from Salzburg main staion to Mondsee.
