Baumgartner-'Marterl'

The "Marterl" at Baumgartengut 2012 looked very desolate and unkempt. The resident of the farm, a tenant, did not know anything and was obviously not interested in it.

In the neighbourhood it was to be learned that the owners lived in Köstendorf and were called Gaßner. It was no coincidence that the farmer's future daughter-in-law was on the phone at the first telephone contact, who celebrated the church wedding the next day. She knew about the estate and knew of a "torture".

At the wedding ceremony, she gathered information about it and decided to renovate the torture in gratitude for this wonderful day. Three days later she had painted the "Marterl", beautifully decorated a newly acquired statue of the Virgin Mary in the niche and planted a little rose tree next to it. The place of faith continues to be lovingly cared for.
The estate is the home of Franz Gaßner, the bride's father-in-law. The areas of the Baumgartnergut are used by the family. The hay is used in Köstendorf. The farmhouse is rented.
