The Lady's Slipper Orchid and Traditional Café in the Centre of Mondsee

The Lady's Slipper (German “Frauenschuh”) is a rare orchid that gave its name to the traditional café in the centre of Mondsee. One of the best places to spot this remarkable flower in the wild is along the trail to the Schober summit in June, where it grows alongside other rare orchid species. Please note that the Lady's Slipper is strictly protected and should only be admired and photographed.
