Cottage IKA in Mondsee

Our "cottage IKA", which has been in our family for three generations, is located in a quiet green area, only 10 minutes’ walk from the center of the market town Mondsee and from the lake. The slightly elevated position offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Mondseeland.

On the first floor you will find two connecting bedrooms with ample storage space; one with a double bed and the other with two single beds.



On the ground floor is another bedroom (with one single bed), a living room with work space, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a bathroom and a toilet.
Outside there is a covered porch, a garden and a parking space.
Smoking in the cottage is strictly prohibited!

Mondsee offers its guests typically Austrian coffee houses, trendy bars, and restaurants with traditional cuisine as well as fine dining. Especially in the summer after a day relaxing by the lake, the market square becomes a living room where locals and guests mix. Stroll along the pedestrian zone or enjoy the evening in one of the outdoor dining areas or beer gardens.

Culture vultures can, amongst other things, visit the Basilica, the local museum, and the ‘smokehouse’ open-air museum, or watch a performance of the "Mondsee Jedermann" on the open-air stage. Not to forget – Mondsee is also a stop on the famous "The Sound of Music" tour!

About a 10-minute walk from the cottage, along the lakeside promenade, you will find local providers of various water sports, as well as the swimming area "Alpenseebad".

The nearest supermarket is a 7-minute walk from the cottage.

The bus station is 10 minutes’ walk away.

The region offers all year-round recreational opportunities on the lake, including swimming and various water sports. The nearby mountains offer anything from short and easy to long and demanding hikes. In winter, Mondsee is an ideal base for winter sports. Top ski resorts can be reached
