Lunar Dixieland - erster Auftritt einer neuen Formation

This spring, a new musical group was formed by members of the Bürgermusikkapelle and fellow musicians: Lunar Dixieland.

Over the past few weeks, the group has been rehearsing intensively, fine-tuning their performance, and working together on their sound. Now the group is looking forward to its first public performance.
Lunar Dixieland performs with a traditional lineup featuring trumpet, clarinet, tenor saxophone, trombone, and a rhythm section consisting of drums, bass, and piano. Their sound is lively, direct, and danceable—somewhere between early jazz tradition, the joy of brass music, and good cheer.
Like a small, loud, cheerful brass band, Lunar Dixieland brings energy, a love of playing, and a touch of New Orleans atmosphere to the stage.
Lunar Dixieland is looking forward to their first gig—and to lots of attentive listeners, tapping feet, and a great atmosphere.
