Advent in Mondsee invites you to explore, enjoy, and linger. At the festively lit market square, regional delicacies, warming drinks, and music create a special atmosphere.
In the Gothic cloister of Mondsee Castle , vendors showcase high-quality arts and crafts, one-of-a-kind handmade items, and unique gift ideas.
There’s plenty for families to discover, too: The Children’s Advent offers a varied program, making Advent in Mondsee an experience for young and old alike.

• Afternoon: Christmas program by the Mondsee State Music School at Betchor—harp class led by Genoveva Kirchweger, BA
• 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Postmusik
• 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Doro Hanke & Band—“Christmas Fever”

• Afternoon: Pony rides at the Children’s Advent event (weather permitting)
• 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Bürmoos Brass Band
• 3:00 p.m.: Guided tour of the town and church with Austria Guide Georg Obermeier; meet at the Christmas tree
• 4:00 p.m.: Ringing in Advent
• 4:30–5:15 p.m.: Birglechner Buam
• 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Moonlake Allstars
• 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Moonlake Allstars

• 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Advent concert by the Mondsee Choral Society in the Basilica (admission fee)
• 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Wind quartet of the Bürgermusikkapelle
• Starting at 6:00 p.m.: Perchten Parade by the Mondsee Gymnastics Club; parade begins at 6:30 p.m.
