Tee off and play well!
Always when I'm on my yearly golf holiday in Austria in Mondsee in the Salzkammergut region I tee off at the golf course "am Mondsee". I can tell you that the hole #15 is a real challenge and one question occurs again and again: driver or iron.
137 meters (150 yards) water of the dragon lake, the centre and scenic highlight of the club, are to cross. And as always because I am still not a good golf player the drop zone is my best friend. Anyway, the golf course "am Mondsee" is said to be the most beautiful and one of the more difficult ones in Austria. Sometimes they ask the players for a handicap of -36. a
At the nine hole course "Drachenwand" there is no lake waiting but still the Mondsee lake is always on your side. Famous for his panorama over the lake and the surrounding mountains this golf course has been voted by golf players as most beautiful 9-hole course in Austria.
Besides well looked after fairways and short cutted greens, training facilities like putting greens and driving ranges in the Mondsee region 13 more golf courses not further away than max. 30 minutes by car are waiting to be played. To be spoilt for the choice!
